The Charlotte County chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes flexed its fundraising power this past weekend when it played host to the NFL Players Tournament at Riverwood Golf Club.
In all, 17 current and former professional athletes, many from the NFL, participated in the event, leading to a total of $38,000 being raised to send student-athletes and coaches to summer camps.
